Chicago Transit Authority

CTA Headquarters "Back to 567" Safety Video

CONTEXT:

During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, CTA had closed its corporate headquarters and was able to adapt to work-from-home with the help of their employees. Since some tasks still needed to be done in the office, CTA implemented safety procedures in order to keep their employees and visitors safe.

PROMPT:

During my first week at my internship, I was tasked to help with the editing and shooting of the photos seen in the video. I was given a script of the video and the shot list that went along with it. After taking the required photos, I began editing the video with feedback from my manager, Bill Bossert, and others who overlooked the project. The video included subtitles for better accessibility. The video was only intended to be viewed by a select number of employees, however, all employees going to the office premises had to view the video as part of security training.

CTA "A Tip for the Pro"  and "Trainline" Flyers

CONTEXT:

The CTA produces flyers for their bus drivers and train conductors, who are an integral part of CTA's mission to help the people of Chicago get around the city. "A Tip for the Pro" flyers are to help the bus drivers keep safety best practices in mind while on the Chicago roads. While the "Trainline" flyers are to help the train conductors keep safety best practices in mind while operating the trains that help the city move.

PROMPT:

I was tasked to create a template for these flyers which would be used then after. This was a collaborative effort throughout the internship, where I was given a rough draft with the images and text of the flyers by the team to simplify and clean up to fit with the template used for all of the flyers. There were changes made to the design template according to the feedback and subject present in the flyers.
